What is SEO ?

SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It refers to the process of improving a website’s visibility and ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs) like Google, Bing, or Yahoo. The goal of SEO is to increase organic (non-paid) traffic to a website by making it more attractive and relevant to search engines and users.

SEO involves various strategies and techniques, including:

  1. Keyword Research: Identifying the words and phrases that people use to search for information related to your content or business.
  2. On-Page SEO: Optimizing individual web pages to rank higher and earn more relevant traffic. This includes optimizing content, meta tags, headers, images, and URL structures.
  3. Off-Page SEO: Building a website’s authority and trustworthiness through backlinks from other reputable websites, social media engagement, and other external signals.
  4. Technical SEO: Improving the technical aspects of a website, such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, secure connections (HTTPS), and proper use of schema markup.
  5. Content Creation: Developing high-quality, valuable, and relevant content that meets the needs of users and search engines.

Effective SEO requires a combination of these elements, along with regular updates and analysis to adapt to changes in search engine algorithms and user behavior.
